Alentejo, Portugal

The Alentejo is a little developed tourist region in Portugal. Rolling landscapes alternate with mountain ranges and high plateaus.

The unique coastal strip is part of the nature reserve “Sudoste e Costa Vicentina” and offers an ideal habitat for a wide variety of fauna and flora.

There are wonderful hiking opportunities here, including several signposted hiking routes.

The coast is rich in fascinating beaches and bays, such as Malhão, Vila Nova de Milfontes with the Mira estuary (especially suitable for families with small children!), Almograve, Zambujeira do Mar or Carvalhal.
They invite you to be active in sports – or just to let you open your mind and enjoy the moment.
